Christmas Tree Title Page

Level: Easy

I usually try to start the holiday scrapping with a picture of our Christmas Tree for that year. Any large photo of holiday decorations would work for most of the Christmas Title pages that I do.

Christmas Tree Title Page - original photoMaterials:
6 1/2 x 9 1/2 inch photo of Christmas Tree
2 smaller photos of the wrapped presents under the tree
1 12 x 12 inch sheet of red corrugated paper
1 3/4 x 12 inch strip of dark green paper
8 x 10 sheet of vellum
Computer/color printer
Photo adhesive
Scissors/paper trimmer
Corner rounder

Step 1:
Take the 12 x 12 red corrugated paper and using the photo adhesive mount the paper to fully cover the page. This paper will have ridges that will make some adhesives hard to use, so make sure you test it before adding the rest of the items on top.

Mount the dark green strip of paper down the left hand edge of the page using the photo adhesive.

Step 3:
Using your computer and a color printer, print the word Christmas vertically down a sheet of vellum. I found a font that had snowflakes cut out of the letters and used a green color, but you could use your favorite holiday font — or even a script font — just make sure you enlarge the letters enough to have it run about 7 inches down the sheet of vellum. After printing, cut the vellum to about 2 x 8 inches and then round the corners. Use clear adhesives to mount the vellum strip to the left side of the page, about 1 1/2 inches in from the left edge of the page and about 1/2 inch down from the top of the page. I also printed a strip vertically that had the year on it to mount on the opposing page.

Step 4:
Round the edges of the photo of the Christmas Tree and use the photo adhesive to mount about a 1/4 of an inch in from the top and right edge of the page.

Trim the two photos of the wrapped present to a size of about 2 x 4 inches and round the corners. Use the photo adhesive to mount the first one overlapping the tree photo on the bottom left corner. Have about a half-inch in from the left edge of the tree photo and about 1 1/2 inches up from the bottom overlapped with the presents photo. Mount the second wrapped presents photo overlapping both the first presents photo and the Christmas Tree photo. The bottom of the second presents photo should be even with the bottom edge of the page.

Step 6:
The opposing page can be used for additional photos of the holiday decorations, and of course use the same paper, trim and vellum with the year printed in the same font and color as the word Christmas.
