Mickey Christmas Title Page

Level: Easy to Medium

I usually try to start the holiday scrapping with a picture of our Christmas Tree for that year. For 2004 we had planned a trip to Disney World for the week after Christmas, so we decided not to do a live tree since we wouldn't be there to water it. I wanted to incorporate the trip without using any of the Disney pictures since they were in an album all their own.

Christmas 2004 Title PageMaterials:
3 pictures of Christmas Day
1 sheet color printed 12 x 12 paper
1 sheet light brown paper
1 12-inch strip of dark brown paper
1 sticker quote strip
1 wooden tag
Blue letter stickers
Green number stickers
1 Mickey Mouse head sticker
Photo adhesive
Scissors/paper trimmer
Corner rounder
Journaling pen
Jute string — length would depend on how big you wanted the bow

Step 1:
Take the 12 x 12 color printed paper and using the photo adhesive mount the paper to fully cover the page.

Mount the dark brown strip of paper down the left hand side of the page using the photo adhesive, then take the sticker strip and apply it down the middle of the dark brown strip. My sticker strip said Memories that which is remembered; retain knowledge.

Step 3:
Take the letter and number stickers and use them to spell out Christmas 2004 on the wooden tag in two lines as shown, then place the Mickey Mouse sticker in the corner of the tag. Use the jute string to tie a big sloppy bow and attach to the wooden tag. Lay this tag aside to attach to the page after all the photos are in place.

Crop the Christmas Day photos and round each corner of each picture. Using photo adhesive, mount each picture to the light brown paper. Trim the larger focal picture, leaving enough room underneath the photo to journal a small message on the paper. Use the corner punch to round off each corner of the light brown paper. On the other two matted photos, use scissors or paper trimmer to trim two opposite sides of each picture. For the remaining two sides slowly tear the paper to trim, making a rough edge for those sides.

Step 5:
Using the photo adhesive, mount the larger matted photo in the top middle of the page and the other two photos in the bottom center and bottom left corner of the page.

Step 6:
Take the wooden tag that was assembled in Step 3 and using photo adhesive mount bow towards the top left of the page and let the tag hand down to see where to mount on left lower side of page. I actually used a pop-up sticker dot to attach the bottom of the tag to the page, which made it a little more level.

Step 7:
Use your journaling pen to write a short message on the bottom of the top matted photo in the area left on the light.
