DC Title Page
Level: Easy
Every year we take a trip to DC to meet with friends and/or family. While there, we always try to see something new, and then my objective is to scrap the photos differently too. This year I decided to us an all red/white/blue theme.
Materials:
1 red 12 x 12 sheet of paper
1 small sheet blue paper
1 photo of a well-known DC building
White letter stickers
Blue fiber string
Photo adhesive
Scissors/paper trimmer
Step 1:
Mount the 12 x 12 sheet of red paper to fully cover the page using photo adhesive.
Step 2:
Using the white letter stickers, spell out Washington starting in the top left corner. You can use a ruler or straight edge of another sheet of paper or edge of book to make sure the word stays level as you spell it out across the top of the page.
Step 3:
Take the photo I used the Capital Building and mat on a piece of blue paper. If you hold onto your scraps of paper, you may have something to big enough to use in scraps instead of cutting into a full sheet. Trim blue paper to a small edge around the photo. Using adhesive, mount the matted photo slightly left of center right under Washington that you just spelled out.
Step 4:
Use a short strand of blue fiber and loop through the bottom of a white letter sticker D. Place the D under lower left of the matted photo. Do the same thing using another strand of blue fiber and a white letter sticker C and stick down to the right of the D. When placing these letters you do not have to keep level or straight mine were slightly tilted towards the bottom of the page. Take the ends of the blue fiber looping through the D and tack down to the left edges of the page and fiber from the C to the right edges of the page. Leave a slight looseness in the length to let it droop, then cut ends of the blue fibers that go off the edge of the page.
Step 5:
Using white letter and number stickers, you can then use the lower center to left edge of page to put in the dates. I just added the month and year for this page.
