Great Cats Page 1

Great Cats Page 1 - original photoLevel: Easy

It is always fun to catch some good pictures of the big cats at any zoo. These are from the National Zoo in DC. The female lion was walking around while the male was back in the bamboo eating, so the pictures are all of her. I also found a great way to add to the photos (of ANY of the animals) by getting a pack of mini-postcards from one of the gift shops there at the zoo. It was an inexpensive way to add to the look of the pictures I did get. The pictures from the Tiger side are on Great Cats Page 2.

Materials:
4 photos of a lion
1 mini-postcard of a lion
Lion sticker
Paw print stickers
Red letter stickers
12 inch Red zigzag border
12 inch Blue wavy border
Circle shape cutter
Photo adhesive
Scissors/paper trimmer

Using photo adhesive, mount the red zigzag border along the left side edge of the page. After you have that border in place, use the photo adhesive to mount the blue wavy border along the left edge of the page on top of the red border. You want to see peeks of the red zigzag coming out from underneath the blue wavy border.

Step 2:
Crop the photos you have chosen to maximize the focal point of the lion. You want to crop three of the photos to a rectangle shape and use the circle shape cutter on the last one to circle in close on the lion.

Step 3:
Use the photo adhesive to mount the first photo starting about a quarter of the way down the page on the left side. Mount the circle photo overlapping the top right corner of this photo. Mount the mini-postcard slightly below and slightly to the right of the already mounted rectangle photo. The other two photos should be mounted in the remaining space to the right of this grouping. Make sure you leave open space at the top right of the page and the bottom right corner.

Place the lion sticker in the open area at the bottom right corner with the feet lined up with the bottom edge of the page. Place three paw print stickers going across the center of the top of the page. Then, using the red letter stickers, spell out the word — Great — above the top right photo. The remaining word — Cats — will be on Great Cats Page 2.
