Great Cats Page 2
Level: Easy
It is always fun to catch some good pictures of the big cats at any zoo. These are from the National Zoo in DC. The tiger was very elusive and stayed up on a high ground platform. I found a great way to add to the photos (of ANY of the animals) by getting a pack of mini-postcards from one of the gift shops there at the zoo. It was an inexpensive way to add to the look of the pictures I did get. The pictures from the Lion side are on Great Cats Page 1.
Materials:
3 photos of tigers
1 mini-postcard of a tiger
1 large tiger sticker
2 small tiger stickers
Paw print stickers
Red letter stickers
12 inch Red zigzag border
12 inch Blue wavy border
Photo adhesive
Scissors/paper trimmer
Step 1:
Using photo adhesive, mount the red zigzag border along the right side edge of the page. After you have that border in place, use the photo adhesive to mount the blue wavy border along the right edge of the page on top of the red border. You want to see peeks of the red zigzag coming out from underneath the blue wavy border.
Step 2:
Crop the photos you have chosen to maximize the focal point of the tigers. You want to crop the photos to a rectangle shape roughly 3 x 5 inches in size.
Step 3:
Use the photo adhesive to mount the first photo to the center of the page approximately 1" from top edge of page. Place the second photo underneath and to the left edge of the page. Mount the last photo under the second one, moving about 1 1/2" in toward the center of the page. Still using the photo adhesive, mount the mini-postcard to the right of the second photo, centering between the top and bottom photos.
Step 4:
Place the large tiger sticker at the bottom right corner of the page and the two smaller tiger stickers flanking the bottom of the top photo. Place the paw print stickers about 2 inches from the top of the left corner and then use the red letter stickers to spell out Cats coming across from the top left this is the remaining word Cats from the two-page title of Great Cats (the other page is shown on Great Cats Page 1).
