Hand-Made Paper Christmas Title Page

Hand-Made Paper Christmas Title Page - original photoLevel: Easy

I usually try to start the holiday scrapping with a picture of our Christmas Tree for that year. Any large photo of holiday decorations would work for most of the Christmas Title pages that I do. The hand-made paper is great to work with if you are into getting that rough edge. Most any type of thick paper would work as well if you cannot find any of the hand-made papers.

Materials:
5 x 8 inch photo of Christmas Tree
3 smaller photos (2x3 inches) of the tree decorations
1 12 x 12 inch sheet of red hand-made paper
1 1 1/2 x 12 inch strip of green hand-made paper
1 1 x 12 inch strip of gold/cream mesh ribbon
3 mini red gingham bows
Die cut words of Merry and Christmas (or large word or letter stickers)
Xyron sticker machine
Photo adhesive
White glue

Take the 12 x 12 red paper and slowly tear about 1-1/2inches off the right side. Use the photo adhesive to mount the paper to the page starting on the left edge. The torn right side of paper should be on the right hand side of the page, leaving the far 1-1/2 inches of the page white.

Step 2:
Take the 1 1/2 x 12 inch strip of green paper and using the photo adhesive, mount along the left edge of the page on top of the red paper. With this hand-made paper, you may have to use extra adhesives to make sure everything stays down.

Step 3:
Take the 1 x 12 inch strip of mesh ribbon and run through the Xyron sticker machine. Adhere the strip along the left edge of the page on top of the green paper strip. I found this the best way to make sure the mesh stays glued to the top of the hand-made paper.

Use the photo adhesive to mount the 5 x 8 Christmas Tree photo to centered top-to-bottom approximately 1/4 inch over from the right edge of the green paper strip. Mount the smaller 3 photos spaced down the right side of the page, with half on and half off the right edge of the red paper.

Step 5:
Take the die cut words and run through the Xyron sticker machine. Once the die cuts are stickers, place the word MERRY centered above the 5 x 8 photo and the word CHRISTMAS centered below it. As I said before — the Xyron sticky stuff really does work on this hand-made paper, so if you are using sticker words/letters test the staying power of the adhesive.

Step 6:
Use white glue to adhere one mini bow centered at the top edge above each of the side photos.
