Spring Title Page
Level: Easy
Brian does a lot of work keeping our yard looking good. I always try to take pictures that show the results of all his hard work. This page was done to show all the green and the first blooms that come up in the spring. This is a very simple and easy page.
Materials:
6 pictures of spring plants
1 yellow sheet of paper
1 12x1 1/2" strip of pastel colored paper
Pastel letter stickers with flower accents
Pink number stickers
Photo adhesive
Scissors/paper trimmer
Oval shape cutter
Step 1:
Take the 12x1 1/2" strip of pastel paper and mount across the bottom of page about 1/2" up from the bottom edge using photo adhesive. I had torn the top edge with a slightly rough look, and did a straight cut to the bottom just to give it a different look.
Step 2:
Crop your pictures to highlight the plants in each one. Use the oval shape cutter to cut one of the photos and leave the rest in rectangle shapes.
Step 3:
Use photo adhesive to mount the oval cut photo to the middle of the pastel strip at the bottom of the page. Place the photo so that the bottom curve of the oval shape lines up with the bottom edge of the page.
Step 4:
Take the remaining 5 photos and play with placement around the remaining free space on the page. Try different heights, spacing between the photos, moving to different areas. When you have them where you want them, take the top two photos and mat onto the yellow paper. Leave about 1/16 - 1/8" of yellow showing around the edges. Use the photo adhesive to mount all the pictures in place.
Step 5:
Using pastel letter stickers, place the letters to spell out Spring to the left of the oval picture on your pastel strip at the bottom of the page. Use the pink number stickers to put the year to the right of the oval photo and then accent with pastel flowers from the letter pack.
